Under a round dining table: add 60 to 75 cm all around
The rug must stay under the chairs when someone pulls theirs out to sit down, otherwise the back legs catch on the edge. Rug guides recommend 60 to 75 cm of rug beyond the edge of the table, so table diameter + 120 to 150 cm:
- 90 cm table: 90 + 120 = 210 cm minimum. The Romanty 210 cm (€290.90) fits, the Etny 230 cm (€290.90) gives more room.
- 110 cm table: 110 + 120 = 230 cm minimum. Only the Etny reaches it, at the minimum.
- 120 cm table and above: 240 cm or more is needed. No round rug in stock is that large in October 2026.

In the living room: under a round coffee table
As with a rectangular rug, the front legs of the sofa and armchairs should rest on the rug so that the seating area looks grouped. With a round coffee table and two armchairs, 180 to 230 cm works: the Kavya 180 cm in plain jute (€114.30), or in wool the Romanty and the Etny (€290.90 each). Reading corner, bedroom and entrance: 100 to 150 cm
- reading corner: a rug of 100 to 150 cm takes the front legs of one armchair and a side table. The Yuri 150 cm and the Ilya 150 cm cost €54.90 each.
- bedroom: placed beside the bed or at its foot, a rug of 120 to 150 cm is where your feet land when you get up. The Niluh (€37.30) has a flower shape, the Gabba 150 cm (€65.90) a geometric pattern.
