Bouclé Furniture: Chairs, Stools and Armchairs, Care and Prices in 2026

Evelyne bouclé dining chair and Freia bouclé rocking armchair, Deko District

In short. Bouclé is a fabric woven from looped yarn, which gives it a curly, slightly grainy surface. At Deko District it covers dining chairs from €29.90, a bar stool at €74.90, armchairs from €129.90 and a curved sofa at €520.90. Most pieces are in stock in white only; the Seda chair is the exception, with 4 colours. For a first bouclé piece on a small budget, the Skögur chair at €29.90 is the cheapest entry point.

Prices updated in October 2026.

What is bouclé?

The word comes from French and means "curled". The yarn is twisted into small loops before weaving, so the fabric has visible relief, a soft hand and a matt look. It is often white, ivory or cream, which is why it is associated with Scandinavian and minimalist interiors. Some product pages describe the same texture as "teddy" or plush fleece.

Ottoman and sofa

The Sera ottoman (€112.90) is round, on cylindrical legs, and works as a low coffee table, a stool or a footrest. The Curvy sofa (€520.90) is a curved 3-seater in off-white bouclé; the taupe and olive versions are out of stock at the time of writing. See the whole bouclé collection.

How to look after bouclé

These are general tips; always follow the care label of your piece first.

  • vacuum once a week with the brush nozzle, the loops trap dust
  • blot a stain straight away with a damp white cloth, without rubbing, so the loops do not flatten
  • if a loop gets pulled, do not cut it flush; push it back in or trim the end only
  • keep white bouclé away from dark denim, which can transfer colour
  • with children or pets, prefer a darker shade such as Seda in chocolate or taupe

Bouclé, velvet or smooth fabric?

Bouclé hides small creases and gives texture, but its white versions show marks faster. Velvet has a sheen and a softer touch, and smooth fabric is the simplest to brush clean. For a chair used every day at the dining table, the price difference is small: Evelyne costs €59.90 in bouclé as in smooth fabric or velvet.
